How much is the Swepco stuff, and what makes it so great? I've never heard of it till now, and I've done a lot of searching. Seems like the cocktail, OEM Subaru, and Motul 300 are the most popular choices. I've been running the cocktail for about 25,000 miles, and it feels great, but if there's something better, I want it.

Being "popular" is not an objective means of making a decision.
I've torn down several failed transmissions that have had Lightweight ran in them.
The plastic oil collector that provides lubrication to the main shaft has been clogged by a gooey paste.
Pick a quality oil...Swepco, OEM Extra, etc....and change it often.
Drive your car hard?
Engine torque output more than stock?
Change the oil more frequently than the factory suggests.

Yeah, thanks for the info. I was under the impression that the Lightweight was the most important part of the cocktail, but I'll be going with Swepco next. First I've heard of it gunking up the tranny, which is enough to steer me clear in the future.
