Recommendations for a New Cell Phone
Just wondering what kind of cell phone you guys would recommend to me. I'm on AT&T/Cingular and I really need to replace this piece of crap AKA the Motorola T720 which was all the rage couple of years back. I'm looking for something under $200 with Internet, phone, and you know, the standard stuff that all phones come with.
I like the idea of having a Motorola V600 or that new Razr..but i'm not a fan of spending over 200 bucks on a phone.

get the v551, only $99 after MIR, with two year contract though... its pretty much a revised version of the v600 but with a few extra goodies, i have one now and it has been good to me. The v600 had a lot of problems when it was around.

Sorry this is a little OT, but how do you like the service now that Cingular and AT&T merged? Has the reception gotten any better? I used to have Cingular since it was Pac Bell, but the reception and dropped call amount was so crappy I switched to AT&T and now I'm with Verizon.

Nokia 3595 is free and i've dropped it many many times on concrete and it still works. Also the 6010 Nokia is almost the exact same phone and it is free. No camera capabilities.

i used at&t way back in the day when it was just at&t and then transferred to verizon after my contract ended with att. verizon is probably one of the best service carriers out there in my opinion. but now that i work for marriott and we get discounts towards at&t i decided to go back but verizon will always be my number one pick. good reception & no dropped calls.

Nokia 6230. Small, bluetooth, video phone, mp3 player with SD card (up to 1Gig, shove that iPod shuffle) symbian OS, fast! Someone said it's like the cell phone clark kent would use. lotsa features but looks ordinary.

I have a T720, but I don't like the internet stuff, I just want my phone to make calls and text message, I really don't even like having a color screen, but I trashed my v60 . . . oh well, the 720 isn't bad though, pretty decent battery life.

You're the only person to ever say that about the T720. The battery life on that thing with everyone I know is absolute crap. it can be fully charged, then have a 40 min conversation and the battery life will drop back down to 1 bar.
