Well here was my last recent setup before my tires were slashed:

Rota SDR 17x7.5
Nitto NT-450 215/45/17

I liked my NT-450's pretty well, they gripped good on dry pavement and handled well for when I was up snowboarding. A guy at America's tire co. looked and found out they don't make the NT-450 tire anymore =( So... can you guys reccomend a good all season tire similar to these that I could get through America's tire co. and what size would be best for 17x7.5 wheels, thanx~!

Yokohama Avid V4S. I'm running them on my WRX right now and they work good.

I run 225/45/17 on my 7.5" wide wheels.

but I didn't know you didn't drive a wrx so that won't work for you.

I have a set of Falken Zeix 512s. They're good on dry pavement, really good in the wet, and they are mud+snow rated as well. I have 225/45zr-17s mounted on my 17x7.5 Rota SDRs.

I've never driven them on snow before because I have a set of Bridstone Blizzak ws50's on my stock wheels for Tahoe trips.

They're pretty inexpensive as well. I've driven the snot out of them for about 15k miles and there is still a fair amount of tread left... my daily commute consists of an extremely windy mountain road where I put some serious wear on the tires.

I'm thinking about getting these again... or perhaps a set of Falken Azenis Sports for serious dry traction (although marginal wet traction... and absolutely no snow traction)

but they dont come in 215/45/17 but in 215/50/17.... will these fit the same? what's the middle # for I forgot.

You'll probably want to go with 225/45/17's if you have 17x7.5 Rota SDRs. I've been told this is the optimal size for the Rota SDR. I verified this through speaking with tire-rack. Also Sport Compact Car magazine had 225/45/17 Falken Azenis on their project WRX with Rota wheels (tarmacs I think). If it's good enough for them, it's probably good enough for me.

Just realized you don't drive a WRX... perhaps the tire size wouldn't be 225/45/17 for you... not sure. Never mind the above post! :-)
