recall (left front seat slide rail bolt)

I just received the recall notice from mail today.

Anybody got it fixed?? Which dealer did you go to?


BTW: it's for 2002-2003 impreza

I did.

I went to Walnut Creek Subaru (diablo)

They cracked my lip and ended up having my car for a month.

i'd avoid them...

Yeah call them up any dealership will work on it for you they have to, it's a re-call.

I had problems and fixed mine before the recall with a different bolt and lots a lock-tite.

The maintence side of the house is really bad, broke my radiator, you could hear it crack when they leaned on it, and told me it was like that when I brought it in....they did it right in front of me!

These guys don't know what they are doing.

i did that as well. i decided to go in for the recall and try out subaru's fix... i went back to a grade 8 bolt with a large flat washer and loctite after about 4 days.

it doesn't matter what grade the damn bolt is, Subaru keeps using split washers and that right there is the problem.

I too have an ub3r phat **** as well. I told the dealer about it and they said they found a bolt loose under the seat.

I think the only reason why this is a recall on 02/03 is cause most people don't put 35K miles on the car in a year. So only the older cars are reporting it.

i had mine come loose and then complelty fall out. i just screwed the same bolt back in and so far it hasn't gave me any trouble. gonna go for the recall soon though now that its summer and ill have more time. my car has 32k on it and im not even that heavy 6'3 180
