I appreciate the advice Dan. I know you've been there so I know you know about the reliability issues with out weak *** EJ's. Stock + minor mods is fine, but when you want power like you had in your old car, thats when you start suffering from reliability. The Subaru will never handle as well as the EVO, simple as that nor will the Subaru ever achieve the amount of power that the EVO is capable of.
Look at the cars that are built from the factory with big HP numbers. ALL of them are expensive as hell to maintain and you don't expect them to run for 150,000 miles.

Hell, C6 vettes are into the low 20s now, you could walk right into one of those for what you sell your STI for and prolly have a couple grand left over. Hell thers a clean Z06 for $34K you can prolly get into pretty close to what you can sell the STi for

Stick with the STi. You already have it. It's fun getting a new car but you'll probably get tired of the evo too in time.
I suggest more power. It feels like a new car with every mod and brings a smile to your face when your car comes together.

what if u get the evo and the motor blows because of the previous owner, then your in the same situation. its gonna be hard to find a evo that hasn't been tampered with. just a thought

My build on 91 on FLI mustang dyno put down 340whp on 18psi and 380whp on E85! Not to hard to get to 320whp and be safe, get the Evo you will get sick of it in few years, and sell it just like you want to sell your STi.......
I have been looking for Evo 9 with low milage, very rare to find one with under 10,000 miles.

I don't want a corvette. No offense, I hate American cars and can't stand corvettes. I want AWD and the ability to handle like the STi (I have suspension upgrades) or a stock EVO. An Evo will destroy any C5 corvette on a track with the proper mods... I'm not a fan of a two door ***** extender either (no offense Krinkov). Its been a long time since Ive driven in a corvette. Maybe Krinkov can change my mind about that? Wanna take me for a ride?
I have the need for speed and handling, and prefer AWD and turbo. I love Japanese cars, and of all people I'd never think Krinkov would drive an American car. Mr Japan himself.

If you haven't bought the Evo yet, get the Corvette. Super easy to increase HP and can outhandle your STi all day every day. Who cares if it's an American car?
