Rear suspension is clunking. HALP!!

Recently, I installed my stock suspension back onto my 2013 hatch. The springs should be seated fine because I never removed them. My question is, does it matter which side and direction I put the rear suspension in? I forgot to mark them after taking them out, but it seems it can fit either way. Also, I did fasten the tophat down to the car, but I didn't torque. Didn't have the correct socket to match my torque wrench.

Thanks in advance!

85% the clunk is the top hat bolts. ud be surprised at how much torque specs affect parts. also check center nut on strut. that will cause clunk as well. double check endlinks are torqued as well

Endlinks, could be the issue as mentioned, but I'd just go check and lock down those top hats for sure.

If neither check the top bolt that attached your top hat to the strut. May have came loose. We tried to find a clunk for a while on a customers car a few weeks back. To find it was that simple of a fix

Also make sure you do all this tightening with car on ground, suspension fully loaded. This will eliminate any uneven clamping of top hat

Thanks for the input! I'll check it out this weekend when I have the correct tools.

Finally got a chance to look at it. It was the rear endlink. Since the bolt wasn't tighten all the way, it was giving the spacers some wiggle room, which was making that sound.
