Really quick and important question! Does an STi I/C fit on any STi?

From 04 to 07, they all fit and are the same, right? I'm not talking about the new body style, just the GD.

I need to know a definite answer asap!

Thanks guys!

In case you didn't know, I bought a used WRX STi with 11k miles on it (2007) that the bank repossessed... Since the bank was taking it, the previous owner swapped his WRX I/C with the STi I/C (I guess he had a WRX too) which is no big deal since the WRX I/C works fine as a temporary solution and its not hot outside since its winter... Someone is selling me the I/C and I want to make sure everything works fine, then afterwords I'll take it to Mioke to get a tune so he can get all the bugs out.

Since the bank was going to take the car, and there's no way they'd know the difference between an STi I/C over a WRX one, the previous owner removed the STi I/C and put it onto his (or his friends) WRX, and put the WRX one onto the STi.

Since it's cool out it doesn't really matter at all, especially since the STi one isn't THAT much bigger... Thats the only thing on the car that is unusual, 3 of us gave it a VERY thorough inspection from looking at mismatched paint to parts that are missing/don't belong and everything checked out.

I got the car for $25,600 with 11k miles on it, and if you didn't know that is ROCK bottom low for a 2007 with such low mileage especially since it has a clean title. I figure I'll have to spend $250 on an STi I/C, and get a tune from GST, and even after all of that, the car will STILL be lower in price then any other STi that I was looking at with that kind of milage

If something other then the I/C would have been different I wouldn't have bought it, but an I/C is such a quick and easy fix, and since it's not summer I'm not worried about the heat.

But yeah, I still can't believe what kind of deal I got... They wouldn't lower their prices AT all at first... so I laid down the whole economy crisis that we're in and I knew for a fact that they weren't going to be selling any cars anytime soon because people just don't have money... As I started to walk away he stopped me and finally agreed to selling it that low! I sooo didn't think he was going to budge at ALL! The price before my haggling with tax included would have been over $30k! MUHAHAHAHHA!

I'm happy with everything on this car minus the I/C, and like I said, it's no big deal and can be fixed in like 5 mins.

Yes, as far as I know they all fit as long as its 04-07. I have a few friends who have placed STI IC on older WRX's with no issue at all. And yes, the STI IC are painted STI in red. Hope this helps Bruce.

I got the I/C from a member which is awesome, but I still need the STi I/C mounts that attach the I/C to the intake manifold, I don't have them right now and its the reason my I/C keeps falling off the throttle body.

I also need the STi I/C hoses (on back of the I/C)!!

I can't really drive my car or get it tuned until I get these two parts so I'm asking if you guys could please please PLEASE help me out... Maybe you switched to a FMIC and have the mounts + hoses from your old top mount STi I/C laying around? Factory or after market, it doesn't matter, I just desperatly need them!

I need to get my 2007 tuned to fix the running lean issue and I can't do that without my I/C... I also need to get to work and I can't do that without an I/C either!

Please help!
