READ-law enforcement update
ok,prob could get in a little trouble but oh well.
just recieved a email this morning(im out on work comp so im also getting this info from a couple partners)
chp has concluded thier training for vehicle inspection.starting april 1 in the solano area(not sure on others)they will be working will ALL local departments.they will be checking for cats and any/all non BAR/carb/smog legal compliant parts/cars.
if you have any part that doesnt have a CARB sticker its a ticket.
no cat-towed
vins dont match,no matter the reason-towed
now in the event the chp/local is a cool guy and the sgt isnt watching, you will be luck to not get towed but will recieve a 2,500 ticket for no cat and the max for any/all non carb parts.
and the funny thing is they are also goin to target HARLEYS.yes thats right, harleys for noise.
and if you think you will stick to frontage roads for the next month,it wont help.since we(solano SO)went through the class CHP put on we will be stopping cars in the rural/country area.INCLUDING diesels and large lifted trucks.
ill post more info as i get it

Nice i hate the 90% of Harley riders that think its cool to lane split while full throttle...or the guy who starts his bike up at 5am M-F

lol no need for science...its common sense...
bike loud driver hear bike driver avoid bike [/caveman]
When youre in a car, a motorcycle is more likely to be in a blind spot...then the car moves over without the driver turning their head (like 90% drivers on the road do) and God forbid the biker isnt paying attention for 1 second...shmushhh.
If anything emergency vehicles cause hearing damage...there's your proof BTW loud things get noticed
That is VERY true. But abuse of sound should definitely be dealt with.

I was driving through the 238 interchange yesterday where it becomes slower bogged congestion, you come to a crawl or a stop and are normally 10-15 feet behind the person in front of you slowly moving forward, then this guy lane splitting rolls by me, but unable to pass the car in front of me, so he thinks it's OK to just take up the very small cushion of space in front of me as the person in front of me brakes, and now the motorcycle has just taken my safe braking space! and I probably would have been at fault had I hit him

Oh man! So does this include cars with cbe with baffles in them? I am installing my baffle as soon as I receive it from MedicSTi and I have not been driving my STi because of it. This **** sucks, arrrgghh!!! Better to remove all the parts off my car and trade it in. Well local CHP and Sheriffs barely look at my car even though it is a little bit loud. But I try to drive as quiet as possible while in town, only let it rip on the freeway or back roads.

Well most of the time, well at least not while I am in my car that is. I do have a habit of looking in my sidemirror and rear as well to see if a bike is coming. In that case I simply move over towards the yellow line so they can pass easier on the right side which usually ends in a peace or hazards to thank me for moving over. Harley guys are usually ****** about it even if I scoot over, plus their exhaust sounds llike crap to me so eff them
