Well its a colaboration car.
The chassis was designed by Porsche, built by Karman-Volkswagon.
Alot of the misc. parts are all VW. But the heart of the car, Motor, trans, axles, suspension, brakes is all Porsche.
It's funny to look at the door glass and see a VW logo. And actually in europe the 914 was sold at VW dealerships, unlike the 911's and 356's which were sold at the Porsche dealerships. But when they expanded the car to the US market they dropped the VW logo and went strictly Porsche to boost company sales. It was sort of the bastard child over the last decade or so, but now a nice 2.0L h4 can go for 20K in a private sale.
Luckily porsche made all of the 914 to be able to use 911 suspension/brakes/steering all the way up till 1985. So you can have the benefits of a completely aluminum front end (suspension/steering wise) and now you can by the adapter kit to use the 21mm Master Cylinder and bolt The Big red Boxter brakes on the car.
Anyway, back to work. got my complete front wheel bearings kit in hand and im gonna do those tonight.

I've having the seats all redone. New foam being put in and the works. It'll still be stock shape, but it'll feel a whole hell of alot better till i can put a sport seat in it.

Yea, will do. Did front wheel bearings last night, and picked up the last few seals to seal up the cabin.
almost done. Looks like I'll be taking it to LA the end of the month hopefully!
