roo wtf? i mean i said i admit guilt to this ****ing ticket already. i said i wanted to take traffic school and pay the ****ing fees did i say i wanted to get away with everything? because i already know that will never happen. what gives her the ****ing right to suspend mylisence for a speeding ticket and let all others slide? why? give me a reasonable explantion.
it is called judicial discretion.

Yup, that clears it up. I was assuming just a regular pacing down the freeway - my bad.

this freakin thread is full is gheys and ni.....nevermind.

bottom line is you got a bad rap dude. As far as racism, i still don't see any. Now a judge who may have been on her rag that day...or a story that isn't been properly told...yeah, either or those may be the case.

Why in the **** would he stereotype himself in a positive light like you suggested...weirdo.

Anyways, thanks for lacking in sympathy. Not cool.
My comment is based on his ...as I am Asian, I was extremely offended... comment.

The judge said something to the effect that HE needs to learn responsibility and how to drive, right? If he's offended by this, that would be because he thinks he already knows how to drive??

I think the comment was directed at HIM, and solely at HIM, not to the Asian community in general. Playing the race card got old after O.J. Simpson, and really comes off the wrong way.

As for not taking responsibility, I see what part of this he took responsibility for by pleading guilty as charged. I applaud him for that. I think he was right to do so. I think what detracts from that is his comment, "Now I can't go and get a job at a dealership...ALL BECAUSE OF A STUPID B---- that ruined my day..."

If he hadn't been driving too fast, he wouldn't have gotten a ticket, and he wouldn't have been in court for her to ruin his day. I speak from more experience than anyone on this board...

thanks roo for the post up there. i still take fault and blame for speeding but i still dont understand why she suspended mylisence, rejected me from traffic school even though this is my first offense on my lisence, and doubled the fine.... if anyone can explain why then be more then happy to complain to me.

my main question is what tone of voice did you use toward the Judge? did you say Ma'am and kiss her ***. It sucks that you need to do this, but she is a JUDGE and, well, she judged you. Your young and drive a sports car and was speeding. How many times have you seen young kids die speeding? I think giving you this fine will make you look down and say, oops, 15 over, let me slow down.
I can see this as a great lesson to keep you driving safely and obeying the law. You broke the law, you got caught, and you pay the consquences.
we could all sit here and say racism, I got this ticket and you got that ticket.
In the end, you broke the law, you got caught, you pay the price. If you dont like it, dont speed, and follow the rules. Its pretty easy to do.

Didn't feel like reading through the whole thread, but I completely agree with this post. Within 6 months of getting my license, I already got pulled over. (though, luckily haven't gotten a ticket since then, for over 4 years) Since I was a minor I had to ask a judge for permission to do a trial by declaration. The judge asked me why I wanted a trial by declaration. I stated that a trial will interfere with school, work, and there's a whole bunch of traffic so it'll take a while to get there. Judge responded with "I will not grant this to you because this court is not that far and I want to see your pretty little face again."

Judges obviously need to make an example because, I admit, most teenagers don't give a crap about speeding laws. Some feel that they need to "intimidate" them more to try and learn, it's just their way of enforcing the law.
