Glad ballz just paid his ticket and paid 20 bucks for online traffic school and he was doing 20+. His ticket i think was under 200 bucks as well. Sorry to hear such a harsh fine for a speeding ticket.

The thing about a judge is, their word will always be far more important. =/

I've been into the courtroom like 7 times over the past few months for this 1 and ONLY moving violation...*sigh*

So which was it? 55 or 60? The officer is usually very specific in assigning an exact number.

You don't have a chance to admit guilt until you reach the courthouse. You received the courtesy notice BEFORE you showed up in court.

Your mistake was pleading guilty. Pleading no contest, or guilty with an explanation would give you the ability to make a statement about the circumstances surrounding your speeding. You'd better have a good explanation, or it's a waste of your time.

As I am asian, I take it offensively.
This is where you lose any sympathy you might have gotten from me. Can you fill me in as to what you mean by this statement? Please, enlighten me. Because you are Asian, you automatically have mad driving skillz? Do all Asians automatically get out of diapers and learn how to drive, drift and auto-x? Wow, talk about stereotyping, it looks like you are the one who has a bias about racist supremacy.

She then says, "You know what? I'll also suspend your license for 30 days, and let you see how you should value your license as you are driving irresponsibly and need to grow up...."
You might think you're pulling something over on her, but she can definitely see your ENTIRE record, including the 50/25 zone ticket that you have received before. Don't think they don't take that into account, no matter if you got off on a technicality. Trust me, they're going to nail you the next time you come in because you obviously (to their thinking) didn't learn your lesson the first time with the narrow "miss". You're back in court less than a year later, it tells them that you don't respect the laws. They're going to do what they can to discourage your behavior, and hopefully (in their thinking) keep you from doing something even more stupid and possibly harm other people.

I'm not passing judgement, because I have more experience in traffic court than anyone here. I'm speaking from experience.

Good luck getting another hearing now that you've plead guilty as charged. Unless you get a good attorney, you won't get very far at all.

OMFG!!

You are going to blame the JUDGE because... let's see... oh, you failed to mention that she was sitting in your car with you with a gun to your head telling you that she would kill you unless you broke the speed limit, right??

Why is it that YOU FAIL to take responsibility for your own action, and you have to blame someone else for your failings?

You need to figure out that YOU are to blame for missing out on the dealership opportunity. BTW, you could simply suck it up and apply for the dealership position anyway, and during the interview talk it over with the hiring manager. You'd be surprised to know that some of them will give a little leeway sometimes.

Just like they can adjust the fine in your favor, they can also adjust it in the courts favor.

I'm pretty sure the initial fee is a standard charge, then when you go to court the judge can rule if it should be more or less.

Lesson learned. When are you going to go 10-15 over again?
Are you serious!? 15mph, suspended lic, $500 fee?! You're joking, right?

if they are trying to skirt the consequences (and now we know he also had a previous ticket of 25 over) I don't blame the judge for throwing the book at him

Maybe it's because I don't have any experience with moving violations, but why was the OP rejected from traffic school in the first place? Was it because he was under 18 when the ticket was issued? Aren't we allowed to take traffic school every 18 months? Since he got rejected twice(once in the courtesy notice and the other by the judge) there's some reason behind it, right? Although the punishment sucks, depending on this reason, it may have made you look ignorant when you questioned the judge's decision.

like also said before, they still have the info supposedly, whether or not you get points for it (yes, I has reading comprehension)

Daniel, I never said it wasn't a drastic judgement
