If we really want to be specific the G35 was the Skyline 350GT.
Pretty sure there's a reason why it's not marketed as a Skyline in the states. Most Japanese refer to it as an R35 not a Skyline either.

No no no they don't call the (R35) a skyline at all or really don't like to. More so it's a bit off from what it was in the 90's. And yes you got it right in the last post.

ok so they DO still make Skylines (G35/37s) but they just dont call R35s Skylines. I'll be honest though, i dont think thats such a bad thing, the new G35/37s arent really anything like the 90s Skylines either, I dont think I would want a GTR that looked anything like the new G35/37s 
but that all raises the the other issue, what exactly is your bone to pick with the New GTR?

I love the RB engine (which is restricting to only a few), the boxy style of the rear and biggest pet peeve, no manual tranny option for the R35. Too many electronics. Plus I like the Gts-T models way more. It also doesn't have the kick I got out of the 32/33/34 more so too round. Hence why I probably like the laurel/cefiro/stagea group too adding the cressida and chasers here too would work.
Hell I agree the G series looks nothing and performs nothing like the older models.
