QVale Mangusta

I saw a QVale Mangusta today parked at the Vallejo garage in Chinatown today. I can't find too much info on it. Anyone know how much one of those cost?

The Qvale Mangusta was made originally under the DeTomaso name, and sports a Ford Cobra Mustang modular engine.

Looks kinda like that new Maserati coupe.

Too bad DeTomaso is going down under, they were still making panteras into the late 90's...shame!

I see them all the time in the city, they're not too terribly special. Definitely not on my list of cars to own in my lifetime.

For that money I'd get a real mustang and spend twice the price of the 'stang on mods.
-still have change left and you wouldn't have that ugly thing in the driveway.

Yeah, I said UGLY,

at least that's my take on them.

I've seen like 20 or 30 of those over the last 2 years. I just never knew wtf it was other than some ugly little car that probably cost alot of money.

The Subaru/Honda/Audi dealer in Livermore has 'em on the showroom floor. $80K and I think they look beautiful, especially next to an Audi or a Suabru.

But IIRC it is the old Mustang Cobra engine and frame - DOHC 4.6 liter V8, not the supercharged one. I think the last year they made them was 2001/2002 model year....They had several new/unused ones at the Subaru Livermore dealer.

Some one my dad knows has one and he said the thing that sold him was the ford powerplant. We laughed pretty hard.
