approaching the 48 hour mark and i'm going insane.

It's definitely rough. I quit a year and a half ago, and I still have cravings.
Keep busy, break/replace the habits, i.e. for those smoke breaks, go do something else.

i quit smoking from one day to another...but that was weed i smoked 3+ times a day for over a year!

keep up the good work! smoking is more of a habit than anything. when i quit, every time i wanted one i just stuff my mouth full of baby carrots. just be careful of the mind games. don't give yourself excuses to smoke just one. one cigarette isn't ok. one will just lead to two and so on. then you'll have to go through this period again. quitting was the best thing ever.

I went cold turkey on 7/1. Have not had a cigarette since then, and now have no desire to have one. It was really tough for a week, then it gets easier. Good luck, even if you are a Dodger fan.
