fortunately, it's not up for the police to write/legislate laws.... just enforce them...

What is boils down to..... WHY CARRY THE SHOTGUN WITH AMMO ON THE SADDLE IN YOUR TRUNK.
because IT IS NOT AGAINST THE LAW...

Just put the ammo up front... really is it that hard??
no. not really.

what this boils down to is who's wrong and who's right?

and, who has the time and $$$$ to fight this in court?

eventually, a law abiding citizen will win the case, if it does ever get to the point of a trial.

and when the law abiding citizen counter sues the DA, the LE agency and finally the LEO, maybe attitudes will turn for the better...

there was a thread on calguns.net, where a user was charged with illegal ASSault weapon.

even though his OLL was equipped with a mag lock device and a 10 max capacity magazine, the LEO that confiscated it, wasnt too familiar with OLL facts.

if you read the date on the thread, it was around 2007, when the OLL movement was in full swing for law abiding citizens.

BUT... it hasnt reached the LE world as much as it was needed to be.

the OLL movement started late 2005.

wtf is an OLL?

Also, at a glance your login name looks almost like "ldvagina," which makes me giggle a little every time I see it because I then think "loud vagina."

Yes, I am that easily amused.

OLL = off list lower.

when the politicians decided to ban "ASSault" weapons, they listed them in a LIST. meaning, any firearm in that list is illegal for purchase in kalifornia.

but, anything outside that list (hence the name) and configured in such a way, that it removed the features that the politicians also listed as a feature of an ASSault weapon, then the law abiding citizen could own it...

I've always found a ban on "assault weapons" to be ridiculous on many different levels, but the most insane one being that all weapons are "assault" weapons. Guns don't shoot hugs, they shoot ****ing bullets. Banning "assault weapons" is like banning "salad forks." All forks do the same thing, just like all guns.
