T-mobile is ok. More variety of phone like what you said. But my opinion, I usually get some bad receptions when I really needed them, that is why I settled for Verizon or nextel which shares the same tower and has the best reception in the whole US.
BTW, i i do not work for these company, i just got tired of trying all these wireless company and finally settled for one.

T-mobile is shaky. Depends on where you are. It's like cingular. In SF it's perfect but I can't get a signal in my house in milpitas to save my life.
I'd say verizon....keep in mind that I work for SBC...we own cingular.
And the AT&T is still at proposal level. It's not that easy to get a $41billion dollar merger/take over set up.
Funny how the company has no money. Can't afford to pay it's employees and give good bonus' but they can give the big man $20 million and have 41 billion laying around.....weird? Weird how we made $8 BILLION dollars in profit in the first quarter of the year.....yeah 3 months.... the strike will most likely happen.

I wouldn't call T-Mobile horrible
I use them, and they do fine. The only place I have real problems with signal is deep inside a building at work (in Milpitas) at home (in San Leandro) it's two bars inside my apartment.
I think ANY provider has its good spots and bad spots, you just have to berrow someone's phone and make sure the spots you frequent MOST often are not problem spots for your potential carrier. I think the rest of it is just luck.
I've never had a spot where I really wanted to make a call taht I couldn't with T-Mobile, unless I was like out hiking or something, but how many providers have service in the boondocks?
