Puttin an STi emblem on a wrx is ok if the wrx has parts made by STi (as in the company subaru technica international)
Not sayin you are one, but I hate when people say "STi" as a car and not as the company aka "I drive a sti"
there are also legacy and forester STi (although not here in US) so you cant just say sti is impreza
its just like TRD...its a company not a car
Fwiw I have no badges or anything on my wrx haha

There's an STi badge on my STi grille on my Bugeye, and I have it taped over with black fabric tape because it would be embarrassing to me to have an STi emblem on my standard WRX. Does that make me a true enthusiast, a retard, or a retarded enthusiast? Either way my WRX is at least 20 feet from it's transmission which makes me a standard issue Subaru owner.
Currently rocking my '91 Justy.

I guess I better take the STI center caps out of my 04' BBS wheels and file down the STI stamp on them.... Let it go guys... As long as its in OEM placement or on JDM STi parts for Bugeye, Forester, or Legacy guys and not vinyled down the side of the car, it's okay in my book.

I see what you mean, but still, I covered it up because it seems like it's saying the car is an STi. Sort of like all the "GT-R" Sentras around and such I guess..

The way I see it, unless you're going around telling people you have a WRX STI when you really just badges on your plain WRX you're okay with having STI stuff on your car. But if you're a tool bag telling your friend and girls you have something you don't then you're a turd and the STI police can beat on you all they want..

But back to the purpose of this thread. I would never pay the mark up for a tS unless I was rich and a collector. Pretty much just dealer installed options rolled into a trim package and marked up... But the truth is, if they sold it here in the states, people would still buy it..
