Tell me about it man. My two previous hobbys (cars and technology) are a never ending, losing battle. You're always behind, and even when you buy the 'newest and best' it isn't so just a few months later. So, I've decided to get in to guns. If you buy a top-of-the-line model it never really gets outdated. If anything, it just becomes a classic and more collectable. You can buy (or build) a custom 1911 for $1,500, have fun with it for a few months or even years and if you get sick of it, you can still sell it for $1,300 to $1,400 bucks. If it was a rare model that is no longer made you can even make money on it.

Well, with the cheapest ps3 you get most of what the high end xbox 360 has, PLUS the blu-ray drive. I highly doubt the hd-dvd add-on for xbox 360 will be only $100, which would push the cost of the xbox360 past the cheaper ps3. we'll see.

The $100 price difference between the cheaper ps3 and the expensive ps3 is not just the larger hd. The $600 ps3 has the 60 gb hd, wifi, card reader, and (the most important) HDMI.

Besides, ps3 has 2 things that make it better than xbox 360. Final Fantasy & Dragon Quest!
