with all due respect....."FALSIFICATION OF WEALTH" is pervasive in EVERY walk of life & developed society (3rd world & underdeveloped ones as well, but that's a whole different story)

w/out making this too long & sending this thread even more OT than it already is, do you or anyone else think that anyone out there really NEEDS a snazzy 300hp boosted STi, modded to hell & back WRX, or the like?? I won't even answer that rhetorical "question" because I think most people know what I'm getting at.

What's more, there are also "posers" of every shape, color, & form.....did you forget where that term originated?? It's from all the wannabe curl carvers & curb shredders out there that wear all the fly surfer+skater gear & talk a big game, but can't do crap on their sticks. Nowadays, it's not even about not knowing how to surf or skate, if you all Abercrombied, AE'd, etc. out, and you look at someone the wrong way or someone catches feelings over you for some odd reason, you're a "poser." Real lame if you ask me, but I'm not in HS anymore, so I'm probably not the best person to speak on this.

But, yeah, there are "posers" of all kinds & avenues.....wannabe AZN gAnGsTeRZ, cholo+chica homeboyz, faux Gotti brotha guido-heads........& if you think there aren't wannabe white collar playas in the boardrooms & corp world, you are SORELY mistaken. There's as much or even more fronting & posturing going on in those arenas as there are "out on the streets."

I'm gonna cut it here because I have to get back to trying to get my "piece of the pie," but this isn't directed specifically at you or anyone else, dr3d1zzl3.........just throwing this out there because, IMO, people get way too judgmental these days, especially when it comes to guys in the hip-hop world or just anyone that is making moves anywhere else besides the mainstream.

There's more than one way to skin a cat & get that paper....you don't have to be an Ivy League crewboy to have keen business sense or be a shrewd guy. You'd be real surprised how sharp some of those hip hop "posers" are....some are actually very articulate, educated, &, in my experience, quite a few are even more keen than some of the straight-laced MBA boys I've encountered & dealt with because the "street" guys have common sense to match their business acumen & intelligence.

Converse to that, some guys from the other group that I've dealt with & met are real thick and dumb as a sack of rocks when it comes to having a handle on what's going on in the "real world." Yeah, many are real book smart, can recite their textbook business knowledge in their sleep. but many of those guys live in their own little worlds & have no clue as to what to do once they get outside their comfort zones or what most people actually want or think. Don't get it twisted tho, some of my closest friends & family fall into this category. God bless them, I love em w/all my heart, but it's pretty ironic how oblivious some of these "worldly" people are.

anyways, personal finances & breeding/upbringing aside, there are good people out there all over the place.....don't just write people off because of you see or what they project on the outside. You miss out on a lot when you go through life being so narrowminded, so don't judge books by their covers.....get on the inside & see a little of what they're about before you make any decisions or judgments about them.

a few points.


1. In third world countries obsession with wealth is worse then it is here. (no joke)

2. There is a major difference in performance and opulance.. Go drive a jaguar if you want to know about opulance.

3. I know all about working the system to make money. For god sakes my job is to subvert systems allday I know people who have made mad loot doing shadyish stuff. As well as people who have made mad loot going the clasical way. Its all the same in the end.


4. I dont write people off, i let them do that for me.

 

unfortunately, watermarks are necessary and there for a reason. i'm a crappy photographer that was using my new, point+shoot digicam for the very first time, no less, but the hell if I'm going to let some opportunists benefit from my sweat & tears w/out my consent.

1. well aware of voracity and sheer savagery people in 3rd world display w/regards to their paper chases. i've never been personally, but I have more than a few acquaintances w/family & operations in such places. I feel really fortunate to be here in the States...people w/skewed priorities and all.

2. no argument from me on the former, but as for the latter, Jaguars suck A$#.....you couldn't pay me to buy one. the new droptops are pretty nice-looking tho

3. was not questioning your business or financial sense...as noted, just putting what i did out there because some people don't understand debt & leverage.....they automatically think all debt = bad & DANGER, STAY AWAY. if that were the case, we'd all still be living in teepees and riding horses. well, probably not......horses are pretty expensive lol

4. i won't cast judgment on you. some people do write others off & are way too judmental tho. again, especially when it comes to the "hip hop" & "street" crowd & unorthodox businessmen+entrepreneurs.

I actually threw away the auto'd poster of the Playboy chix I had...they were pretty hot, but it's not like I have a locker to put it up in. lol

There was a JBP '04 STi parked in guest parking for a few days at my friend's complex in Marina del Rey. I'm pretty sure I've seen it a few times up here before..........chargespeed kit + bronze ROTA Torques (not sure if I or II's...didn't look real closely), completely debadged rear, & a 3 gauge set on the A-pillar, & blacked out headlights
