Exclamation Process West Heads up!

Hey all -

So a quick heads up to anyone looking to buy a Process West top mount. We installed one today on my car at EQ, getting ready for a full E85 tune etc and when they did the boost leak test the brand new $850 intercooler was leaking like crazy.

The offender was the weld on the flange for the blow off/recirc valve mount. They weld this flange on from the inside of the end tank so that there is no visible weld on the outside.

The guys at EQ only had the pressure up to about 7psi and it was bubbling like crazy at this joint.

So anyone who has one, or is looking to install one, make sure you do a boost leak check on it. It would have been ****ty to get it all tuned with the leak there.

Yep this is very dissapointing as the rest of the kit seems very high quality. This is the second pwest tmic we've seen leaking from a weld now. The first one we thought was a fluke, but now that we see a second one leaking at the same place, I'm thinking there is a serious manufacturing or quality control issue present.

It's a good thing we always pressure test cars otherwise we would have never known about these shoddy welds.

Thanks
-- Ed
