omg they are practicing launching techniques for the car now?
"plan on taking the prius to the track soon to see what it'll do in the 1/4. I've been reading up on how to launch it. This is what I've came up with as the best way to drag race a prius based on only what i've read:
- Charge the battery to full by holding the gas and brake all the way down till the engine shuts off.
- Launch the car in "B" mode because it will pre-load the engine to "launch"
- Of course try to have as little fuel as possible
I think I should be able to hit somewhere in the mid 17 second range. (hopefully) which is actually not bad."

The reason? The m3 tops out at 150+, but the prius tops out at 108ish and he had low pro tires
he smokes sport bikes too

I see what happend.... I think all these races were either during traffic, or through a toll, because those prius keep going, and goin and going and going. I hear the 2008 are longer lasting too.

this is a joke right???? no way will a prius beat a M3 unless the driver is a *****.
the M3 tops out at 168mph with stock computer.
I must agree that the pruis has mad torque off the line but after 1st gear the race should be over and the prius will be needing a recharge

Hell yeah I post over at PriusChat.
But no ub3r s1ck str33t r8c1ng k1ll5 for me...
Does cruising by a car in the carpool lane count as a "kill?" If that counts, I've killed an E55 AMG and an SRT-4.
