The caravans are what makes this meet fun. As to what Daniel said, I'm sure there will be a south bay caravan. If anything, I'll set it up prior to the meet

Uh, pardon my n00b-ness: but is it wise to advertise a 10-30 suby caravan? That would present an easy "target" don't you think? Wouldn't it make more sense to email the arrangements?

We've been doing this for 8 years with no issues, caravans included. There's no illegal activity, so no need to keep things underground. If you don't want to participate in a caravan, the solution is simple: don't.

Sadly only a low percentage of people buy tickets in advance, most people pay at the door. But even $10 is a really good deal for what you get in this event.

You know what's funny? Every year a group of people show up, and grab food shortly after arrival, eat, then book on out of there. Me and Noah at LIC were talking about this 2 years ago... Why even go if you're going to make a guest appearance? It never fails though...

^I know what that is like. Several times i had bbq's at my house seems you always find that few that just show up for the food then take off. I find its hella rude least you could do is hang out for a while and bs with people. I would be shocked if people actually did that this year seeing as they more than likely live down here and have to drive a bit to get there. Just for free food would be hella wasted gas.

as for the guy who keeps bringing up the cop bs. Quit it.. If you don't want to go then quit *****ing in every thread about the same stuff. Like its been stated this type of meet has been going on for 9 years and every year people do caravans to the meet. If people are worried about it then dont join a caravan go alone. If you are worried about the meet it self then stay home. The meet wont be canceled just because you are worried or trying to make others worry.

Can I avoid the parking fee by biking from my dads? Sounds fun, I will have to see if I am going to be in town in August, but if I am count me in.

Man, people are waaaaay too paranoid about cops. If you're not street racing, they don't worry about it. I bet cops are least likely to pull us over in groups because they see that we're obviously going to a meet or car show of some sort, most people that caravan in such large groups drive responsibly... Every year we have caravans, and I've seen plenty of cops. I remember one year someone got pulled over JUST BECAUSE the cop wanted to wanted to know what we were doing, as soon as the member told them, they said "ah, have fun". Just curiosity of anything.

You have more of a chance getting pulled over if you're driving solo.

So yeah, in 9 years we have had almost no cops pulling people over for mods, all the ones that have were driving solo, not in caravans. We've also had cops sit in the parking lots of where we're having the festival, and all they do is sit there and do their reports and make sure we're not driving like idiots.

Sadly however, every year someone has to be a jack *** and rev up and rocket out of the parking lot with their loud *** exhaust. That behavior is unacceptable and anyone doing anything like that will be automatically banned, no questions asked. We have hundreds of members there, and you can rest assured that people will see you and identify you if you choose to be a jack ***. Like 2 years ago some member was being stupid and ripping out of the parking lot with straight pipes which made us all look bad in the eyes of the staff, and we're lucky the cop wasn't waiting around the corner... Erm, actually, I wish the cop was there so he could pull that guy over... Anyway, he was banned and hasn't been back here since.

You're going to pay if you're going to "play".

Overall we're a pretty responsible group, fortunately we have some really great members on board and the last thing we want is someone ruining it for all of us. I know some of your guy's cars are REALLY loud, but don't worry, we know the difference between loud and someone being reckless.

Wow, I came into this thread expecting to write 2 sentences maximum...

Ah, come on man! More subies the better. We always do a subie count so we can see if we beat our previous years. Your one car makes a difference! It's only $5 and your money goes towards park maintenance, so it's for a good cause.
