Powder Hounds...I need some love

Well folks.....

I went up on wed night. Faced the front of that huge storm driving up. Delt with my sinus infection. Woke up to ride in the middle of a storm on Thursday. 3-4 feet of fresh awesome powder.....

well the worst of the worst happened........ I came out of thigh deep powder onto the run......last second I saw a berm left by the groomers...I ollied the first one and landed on the second..it bucked me.....felt a pop. I got up rode down the hill and just couldn't handle the pain. Chilled out for about a half hour...decided to hit up the first aid and see what they had to say.....me fearing that I just ripped a ligament.

she said it looks and sounds like a fracture. Well me being stupid decided to chill out drink beer and take a crap load of motrin and ride on friday.

Woke up friday to 3-5 feet of fresh powder and SUN!!!!! jumped out of bed....no mobility in the leg. Hit the dr. office got some x-ray's...first look....it's a DAMN FRACTURE.

Looks like I broke my knee and I'm out for the season. So pissed....the pain doesn't even seem like anything to me in the face of loosing my season.....snowboarding is my life. period.

Well....yeah guys...if any of you believe in God I could really use some prayers on the damage being as minimal as possible and being out the least amount possible. New car, new board. Freaking waking up to a blue bird day in huge amounts of powder and being out....that is my nightmare.

I did get some pictures at about 4am in the middle of the storm....DONUTS....hopefully I'll have em in a few day and if anyone has space to host em let me know.

So powder hounds unite in prayer for me..please. It hurts but I'm more pissed than in pain.

Worst case...blown ligament....best case...just a bone bruise and I'm down a week or two....most likely.....bone chip/fracture.

true...true...still sucks. there is 6 weeks of quality snow left this season. I'm predicting another couple day blast come about 8-9 days.

Snowboarding is the thing I think about all year and I really don't want to have to wait like 10 months to ride again.

I'll keep a prayer for ya. Sucks to hear that. I was at Sierra on Friday and it was so nice. Other than getting stuck on a not steep enough run in knee deep powder, it was awesome. I think my friend might have hurt himself though. Hope he is alright as well.

And I hear ya on the thinking about snowboarding all year long. That's all I think about as well.

She just saw my x-rays.....she's and RN...swares it's fractured...I am not stoked.

Sometimes the worst injuries are caused by the smallest little thing. I'll 4 sure pray that you get better cause I was hoping we could hit up Bear sometime this season. Calcium and protien in the diet and arnica gel helps a bit for swollen tissue and muscles to heal quicker (used it many times from sprained ankles skateboarding). Heal up quick man, hope its not too bad of an injury.
