powder hounds

anyone planning on riding in the next week?

I am looking into going up Sunday/Monday. Was gonna go friday-sunday but my brother has to work.

Word to the wise....if you can make it up...ride THURSDAY.

Just got over a foot of snow and will get continued showers so a couple more inches in the next couple days and thursday is gonna be sunny.

Then the snow comes back.

I'd love to ride thursday but I can't...bah.

last time I checked snow summit has the longest park in the world. When I was living down there it was something like a mile and a half long...crazy.

fun as hell...but I don't do park much any more.

I'll be riding at Sierra tomorrow. God I love being a jobless snowboard bum.

Except for that not having money thing.

yup...you are correct, sir!
during my 1st season, me & my family went down there to for a reunion. i remember reading on their trail map/brochure that summit's park was over a mile long. all i really remember about the place was that it was really crowded. i think it was like the 5th or 6th time i ever boarded. i did the park run once w/ my cousin who skied but neither of us busted any air since we were n00bs. now that i've got several seasons under my belt, i'm ready to hit up their stuff. it should be sweet...not "we just got 2 to 3 feet over the last couple days" sweet, but it should be pretty cool. the ticket's only 44 bucks & it's good for both resorts(they both open @7:30!!! and summit goes till 6:00...you gotta pay more for the night session)

homer....luckily not to many people know about some of my stashes...I can find clean powder runs 3/4 days after a snow.....yeah. I'll be there for sure sunday and it looks like monday too.....yeah.

I love bear valley. It's my home resort but man their parks suck. They are moving it and some of the stuff looks huge but not to hitable for me.

I got a picture of me someplace around here from back in my younger days doing a tail grab over a bus. Not any more man...nope no sir.

So yeah....anyone up at bear on sunday look for my car. White 04 wagon. Look for a guy with long hair and a white helmet that rips the trees....that's my brother....come ride with us.

nice picts stg2....thanks for making it harder to wait...lol.

holic...yeah those two resorts are rediculously packed but great resorts. Snow isn't that great most of the time but there are some great runs. So dang packed....I couldn't tell you how many times you roll up to the first resort and they say..nope...carry on...we're not letting any more people up here....only resort that has ever happened to me at. ever. And it was a regular occurance on sat/sun. but the park rips. I used to ride with one of my dorm mates in college....road for sims and got me hooked up with nitro and silence. We got to ride with so many cool people. Owner of dakine, silence, black flys. Great stories...I miss that place but man I like bear better.....no crowds...better snow and I know the place pretty damn well.

have a good time everyone and take some pictures for crying out loud.....talking to myself of course.
