they take so long to heal because it's difficult to get the angle of entry/exit the same on both piercings. Most people don't take the time to do it correctly. plus it's strait cart. That takes a while to heal on it's own.

My pops has a few things done over the years and they seem to look OK. He has an arm-band that is two geckos with some tapa stuff and he's had it for 10 years, looks great. All done traditional Hawaiian so a teeny arm band takes forever.. My neighbor when I was small had a bunch of traditional stuff done, and I just saw her last year when I was back in Hilo - all her tats look great too, they have spanned 15 years or so. I have something drawn up I have had for years, but may never get it done.

bah. Part of the process.

I'd pop something when they're done.

I'll try to sleep through part of it.

6 hours should be enough time for you to get a life-size depiction of a spider. I think my pop's armband took a few weeks. I know my neighbor's sock, glove and neck tat took over a year to complete. Just remember, every single dot is made with a needle wrapped with string thwacked by a piece of wood. If it doesn't look right the first time, it gets done again. It takes time... Of course, your results may vary. Of course could also have a lot to do with the artist. This guy would come over with his own kava to ease the pain.

I'd get a tattoo but the cops always ask me if I have any distinguishing characteristics
