Hey Kyle... I've looked down on that spot.
I did a 130 mile hike all over ansel adams. Did Ritter. Banner. My name is in the book on Banner. Did Glacier Pass. Slept up top. Windy as hell. Think its called iceberg lake up there. You can look down on 1000 lakes. Friggin sweet. You can see mammoth from up there. Did a 10 mile run over 8000 feet. Think were up and down from 8-9k or so. GNARLY. 1hr7min.
I miss being in good enough shape to do all that.
Did a HUGE freeclimb. Did a couple pretty gnarly climbs and crossings. Rope to rope transfers over HUGE gaps. Even got hung up doing a repel. Had to drop over this edge. Do a couple big hops. Then drop off a ledge as the hill turned in and then just lower yourself down. Don't recall height but seems like I was hanging there about 70 feet up or so hung up in the figure 8. My shirt got hung up. I was so stuck I literally took my hands off the rope. I had to pull my self up with one arm while getting my shirt over my head then do it with the other. Then work the shirt around the 8 enough so it would slide so I could get down.
So much damn fun.

I want a RC crawler, since i cant afford a real 4x4, not only that, there is nowhere to crawl them.
Rally RC is the only way to go.

Wow thats a crap load of experience right there! im gonna explore all over that area eventually. But maybe start from the west side of the range so we dont have to drive over the pass.

It was a great time. 130 miles in 3 weeks. Packed food in. Packed climbing gear in. Etc. The greatest outdoor experience and challenge of my life.
We had 2 guides. One of them told me he'd never picked up a pack as heavy as mine and I had no issues keeping up. haaaaa. I guess he goes around at night and picks up packs to see how people are doing. We had 2 injuries. I started out volunteering to take a spool of rope, some of the stove/cooking stuff, and a few other bits on top of my stuff. I ended up with all of the stuff off another guys pack because he hurt his ankle... if I remember right it was a bag of climbing gear... like 10 pounds and more stove isht. At one point I had 2 bags of climbing gear and both ropes.
We got caught in the middle of a pass too late one night and had to make this CRAZY decent in pitch black. I ended up giving my flashlight to one of the other folks and leading one of the groups through in the dark with one of the guides. I have some pictures of the decent before it got dark somewhere and me at the end of the run. I look like a white kenyan.
We did a 3 day solo and fast in the middle of the trip. Saw a few bears face to face.
Learned that you can make some really good food if you have the right powdered ingredients. Haaa. One of my favorites... powdered potatoes with a little powdered milk, water, cheese and salsa. Haaaa.

Hey man I've been playing paintball since I was like 8 and I'm 21 now. Do you play alot out In tracy? I go through there all the time heading to my cabin. I rock a 03 AKALMP Viking, milled out and custom annoed, took 1.3 lbs off the beast haha. They are heavy and built like tanks! But It has never failed and shoots crazy fast and efficient. Looks like your rockin an EGO or maybe a Cyborg? We should hit the field some time.
