Toss the wrap that came with the header and either get it a proper thermal coating (swain tech or a company like them) or pick up some of the DEI Titanium wrap (if you do wrap it take your time and wrap each runner separately as much as you can. ) There is a how to on nasioc

Warning: my brand new grim speeds ceramic coating started to peel off after a month by the turbo. I wiped my finger across a spot on the top and it turned copper color.....I thought I was spreading some left over copper antisieze onto the black coating but I was rubbing the ceramic coating off!!!!
Nothing some hitemp flat black spray couldn't hide but damn. 130 bucks for a coating that rubs off after a month of heat soak?

That is because of the coating type used on your DP. Its a paint on with ceramic in it unlike Swaintech or Zyrotec. Swaintech and Zirotec won't come off like that. Both Swain and Zyro apply their thermal coatings in a similar manner. My suggestion is do research on things (like coatings, wrapping, bracing, Motor upgrades and so on) before spending money. I would have suggested against coating the DP, some Hi-temp black paint and wrap just the upper section of the DP. would have cost less and netted better results.

Yea my dei wrap peeled off after a month too. I did plenty of research and it all told me to coat it lol. Did not know they coated it differently tho. Its OK I sold it for what I bought it for anyways since group buys are gone and they want 700 new for it.

Thanks for the info!

Here's the pics after setup. Currently running with 2 rasboro fish, 1 male betta fish (he's hiding), 3 live plants, 2 rocks, and some drift wood. Next up I'm purchasing some snails!

Nice. Looks good. I can appreciate a good looking tank even if it is freshwater.
Wouldnt trade my reef tank for the world tho.

I want a reef setup eventually but I can't trust myself just jumping into it without seeing a few setups and doing more research
