Actually in Colorado but still, bit of a premium on Subarus out here as well.
Guy listed it for 12k which already had me interested. Talked to him for awhile, car sounded good so I asked him for the VIN to do a carfax. He delayed a bit then sent me the accident report; car was rear-ended in 2006 but fixed through insurance etc. Wasn't too expensive of a repair as the car kept its clean title. He I guess felt bad or something, said if I was still interested he would take 10K so I looked at the car and decided to buy.
I didn't have all the money on me to buy so I gave him 5k told him I'd give him the rest this week. He texted me yesterday said he needed rent money, if I gave him another 2k then he would drop the price another grand lol. So I accepted and now I've got a 9k STI.
It is definitely not perfect but at 9000 I can accept its share of issues (pretty much all cosmetic) and enjoy the car lol
