The efficiency of the Random Tech cats is questionable. I had a year-old Random Tech cat on my Prelude and when I went to smog my car, it was putting out three times the limit of NOx (roughly 2000ppm). I replaced the Random Tech with a bigger cat from Golden Auto and my NOx levels dropped down to the 300-400ppm range.

BTW, the emissions laws also state that the manufacturer has to warranty the emissions equipment for 70K miles, regardless of other warranties on the vehicle.

Car Info: A crazy ass wagon ! Voltex and 18x9.5 +22 FTW !
I agree on the random tech cat, stay away from it. I had a heavily modded CRX before getting my Suby wagon and i hate buying that damn random cat. First off the heat shield tack welds are **** and when one busts your car sounds like crap cause the cats shield is ticking away loud as hell, and second i swear my car ran worse with that thing, after welding the crap outta that shield i ended up yanking it off eventually anyway. try another brand... just my opinion !
