Playstation 2 Fans!!!!!!!
Gauging interest!
I have a Maxtor 80GB hard drive with around 20-25 PS2 games on it, including the likes of GTA San Andreas, NBA Live 2005, Driver 3, Fifa 2005, True Crime Streets of LA, Hitman Contracts and much much more...... I NEED MONEY and need to let go of this with the loader disc. In order for this to work, you need to already have a network adapter. I am willing to install it in your playstation and wait for you to test every single game before accepting any dough! All the time and labor put into this alone is invaluable not even getting into the parts. I need to know if there is any interest for something like this before i can even come up with a price.

I am a PS2 guy. But I am stupid when it comes to moding, hd set ups and what not.
Can you explain this to me?
Like when you play live is it going to ban your serial number like they do at xbox live for modded boxes. What do you do to the PS2 to get it to work? Why the network adapter...I can go buy one if need be..
Let me know..and how much you're looking for.

From my experience and the HD Loader disc that i have, you will not be able to play any copied games that have online play (ie Madden football, Tony Hawk Underground 2, etc). But I am not sure if that is true for all games with online play. But games like GTA: San Andreas that has no online play should be able to play fine from the HD.

Ok,
About the online thing, you cant play online with most games that use DNAS, like most EA games like Madden, NBA live, etc. There is a way you can bypass this though im not sure how to do it. If you go to hdloader.net forums, there are more details there. You need a network adapter because the harddrive physically connects to it in order for the playstation to read it. Im not sure whether this harddrive will work with the smaller PS2 because i dont know anyone with one and ive never really heard of anyone that has done so, so i dont want to say it will. The only drawback with this is the inability to play online. All games that are on the harddrive work perfectly. The great thing is that they load soooooo much faster so less boring load time.
Regarding the price - I have thought about it and I will take $170 OBO.
It seems a little high when i think about it but when I think about it more, it doesn't.
4 of the big games alone brand new are $200, the harddrive itself almost $70 and the loader like $30. Anyways, i will install it for the buyer and make sure it works fully before accepting any dough so let me know.

And someone mentioned the slim ps2, they are developing a way to use external USB hds with those, so that stuff should be out in ~ a month if all goes well.
