Plastic Factory on fire in Fairfield!

There's a 6 alarm fire in Fairfield with massive toxic smoke. While the shop is in no danger of fire, we evacuated due to fumes. If anyone needs to get in contact with me, please send me an email or leave a message on the shop line. I'll be checking our voicemail remotely.

We're hoping that the fire will be out and we will be back at the shop tomorrow.

Thanks
-- Ed

Yea it was crazy. We could see the flames from the shop. Looks like they got it under control now.

At least it's not burning hair... Nothing smells worse (although plastic comes in a nearby second)

Clearly, you've never smelled burning humans.

I live rather close to a rendering plant, incinerating cooking oil is pretty foul.

We can see the cloud all the way here from Marin.

The first hour was really crazy. Easily 50-60 foot flames and giant plumes of thick black smoke.

I seriously thought a air tanker crashed at Travis,
