Places to visit in New York City?
Im in New York for a couple of weeks on buisness and was wondering what places should I visit.. a couple of places that came to mind were Ground zero, the statue of liberty, and the empire state building. I know there must be ton of places to see but i only have two weekends basically and a few hours after work before dark and im hoping to get some great suggestions.
Thanks guys!!

I'll vouch for the first 2 but imho Times Square is a sooper tourist trap, but if you're into the bright lights and whatnot, it's tolerable. Since it's probably still niceish weather-wise, I'd say Central park, and for the low-key days MoMa and the Guggenheim are cool. I'd recommend Chinatown too if you're trying to cop that fake LV purse for the gold digger in your life. Otherwise, stick to the lower east/and some west and you'll be all G! oh yeah, and if you're there for a week or so, I'd recommend getting an all week metro pass, it works for the bus and the subway too.
EDIT: if you're into cool toys, I'd DEFINITELY recommend Toy Tokyo on 2nd ave. also, in your situation, the best way to experience NYC are the bars after work kid! there are dimes out there like you wouldn't believe!

Times square is def a must i think, there's just too much to see there for you to pass up IMO. SoHo, ehhh i dont know, nothing really seem to catch my attn, but it is also considered to be a great tourist attraction place. I personally liked going thru central park.

being from the NYC area, other than the usual touristy places, you can check out a few places such as flushing, take the 7 train to the end, IMO better asian and chinese food than the main chinatown.
meatpacking district has some nice little cafes and eateries if u like htat kind of thing
there are some nice little ethnic places down lower east side, not too far of a walk from battery park area, some nice spanish resturants and such
if you like bbq, loud music and drinks, i suggest a place called Brother Jimmy's bbq, i believe now there are several locations in manhattan, but the one we used to go to is on the upper east side almost, on 2nd ave if i recall, go there for dinner.
Korea town has some nice and cheap asian resturants thats a lot cleaner than china town, and a few of them have upsatirs lounge/bars that are reall chill
there are obviously others but i dont want to turn into a tour guide lol

i just went there last month.
ditto on soho, cool place.
flushing is pretty sweet too.
world trade center memorial center is a must, ground zero wasn't open to public to walk around, just the perimeter.
just bring some nice and comfy shoes and walk around, take it in. that in itself is pretty cool.

under the brooklyn bridge, there's a pizza joint called grimaldi's. Best damn pizza i've ever had.
Here's their site: http://www.grimaldis.com/
