Pics from Ft Lauderdale Fl!
Well, just got home from Florida tonight. I'm pooped! It was so nice down there though. It was in the 80s the whole time - a little windy but still really nice. We stayed in the Hollywood area (which is in southern Ft Lauderdale). We cruised up to Boca Raton and all the way down to Miami. We saw South Beach but didn't get out - the roads down there are REALLY confusing and traffic was a blinkin nightmare. Also, the FTAA (Federal Trade ..something AA) was there and a ton of people were protesting. As a result most of downtown Miami was closed so we didn't get to see much there either - saw some hard core cops though. Full riot gear and all
We flew home today. Went from Ft Lauderdale where it was 80 degrees out, up to Minneappolis where it was snowing (and they had to de-ice the plane before we could take off) back to home where it was 47 degrees at landing. But it feels good to be back. Ft Lauderdale was really nice and the views were great, but I really like Sacramento for some wierd reason
Anyways, here are the pics. I got some from the plane, some of sunrise on Friday morning (11/21), one or two from South Beach and two of me being kinda intoxicated

Our hotel. We stayed at the Ramada Inn. Built in the 50s - it was an ok place. The location made up for the hotel sorta sucking though
The place in the foreground is a small bar called O'Malleys. I had a lot of Margaritas here:

A neato building in South Beach (art decco district) :
A palm tree at night. I was playing with my camera and sorta like this one:
Me after a few margs. We're sitting at this really cool French restaurant that's right on the beach. We'd just finished some Escargot:
Me in our 50s stylin hotel. You get off the elevator to all these funky *** mirrors. Which one is the real me?!??!:
