petaluma to windsor: paint shop recomendations?
im looking into doing a bugeye front clip swap onto my 05 and i was thinking about having painted the same color as this car

at the same time i just want a good reputable paint shop to do the work, ive had bad luck with painters on my older cars. i just want everything to look how it should like it came from the factory in the color i chose and i dont want it to take a year and a half... also would anyone have an idea as to how much something like this would cost to do the door jambs and engine compartment and everything?

Blakes autobody did my silverado when I got smooshed, and they did a beautiful job. I would reccomend them to anyone, however I am not sure if they do custom work or just repair work. Talk to Joe there, he is cool (and kinda looks like The Rock)

Everybody is going to have their own recomendations...I will throw mine in...I would say Any one of the G&C bodyshops is my 2 cents...they have been nothing short of amazing everytime I had to have my 350 painted...they do quality work.

I've heard a ton of horror stories about G&C, sometimes they get sloppy but who doesn't. I always went to Guanella on sebastopol rd. in santa rosa. The owner is the man, always willing to work with whatever you need/want. He did an excellent job for me right around my budget... no hassles, surprises, or waiting.

I took my Subie to Larkfield. My brother took his car there and they did quality work on his car. I'll let you know as soon as I get my car back. I've heard the same horror stories about G&C.

ive actually have had my own horror stories with larkfield, my moms car got sideswiped in front of our house the night before thanksgiving and we take it there for an insurance claim, when it got hit the window slid down in the door so they fixed that also, 3 days after we get it back in that huge storm we had a couple months ago the windo falls down again, the rivited the track to the fiberglass/plastic door peice that it broke off of. the rivit ended up braking the door and it needed replaced. another time before that on the same car it got hit on the rear 1/4 after they did the work we get the car back and on the seam where they sealed the new rear 1/4 it was all uneven and had to go back to get that fixed we ended up having a rental for 3 1/2 months for that work to be completed. if there was any place i wouldnt go to it would be them just from my experiences.
