Talking Paramount Great America in ROSEVILLE!

I just got the inside scoop on this story.

The father of a girl I work with is the pres. of Bank of America.

She just told me that her dad had finished financing for this planned amusement park.

It will be located very close to the Roseville Galleria.

Now we don't have to get on the freeway to ride rolercoasters!

This calls for a

Traffic will be the biggest problem of all.

I have always said that some day Sacramento will turn into LA

AND THATS A BAD THING!

Weird I haven’t heard about it. My dad has a few clients and some close friends who own most the land up there. This would have been something he would have told me about. Then again BofA hates my dad so I doubt one of his clients would use them.

The mall was financed years, YEARS, before it hit the major planning blocks for building. There was lots of disputes between major stores and locals. I am still pissed they didn’t corporate with Bloomingdales, we didn’t need another Nordstrom (and that one sucks) but a Bloomingdales would have rocked.

So I doubt we see a park there any time soon. Same thing happen with In N Out, the plans to come into Sac/Auburn area was financed years before they ever made it. That was a big hush hush and they ended up having to come in sooner then they wanted to because the word got out.

Has to be fake, no way would Paramount come in so close to another one of their parks. Plus parks are hurting in CA, doesn’t sound right the more I think about it. I think the chick was running her mouth to look cool.

Actually the word on the street is it's not a Paramount type park but rather a Six Flags park. It'll be located in that huge field in front of your face as you exit the offramp for Thunder Valley.

I have been hearing rumor of this for some time from my father who's a highly respected mason and contractor in the area. He also lives in in that Rocklin area.

on one hand, you're bringing money into the area, but on the other hand, you're going to get (worse) traffic congestion.

has there been any press releases for this proposed theme park? i wouldn't count on it as they probably have a long ways to go and many hurdles to pass before construction even begins.

having went to school at UCD, i would have appreciated at least somethign to do in the sacramento area besides outdoor sports/activities.

I doubt the county knows anything yet. (I know what you are getting at and I don’t think any info will be there yet) Most these business deals get felt out for a long time, they know 90% how the county will react so they don’t go to them till the last min. They have to know they can get the land first, and leaks like this give the land owner room to demand more as others will be looking into that area.
