Consider this responce as part of "letting you know" I'd do $250 for something better than maaco.

Yes, I know all about maaco, and i know all about painting, but I also know how much money I have, and I also know I dont care about my paint job on my car anymore cause its gone to the ****z anyway.

Im also worried about the hood now because im driving around with it all primered and stuff seems to stick to it which doesnt seem good...

Creative Kustoms told me 350 for the hood. I place in Berkeley told me $150... I was sceptical, but then he told me the paint would have a life time warranty.... oh, but for both instances I told them i would be bringing them my hood and that I would be installing it myself. (you should always do the stuff you can do yourself... let the painters paint)

Steve, I prepped and painted that hood in the first place. It was silverthorn, and it's still silverthorn underneath. All I did was rough up the clear so flat would stick decently, but it's got the full factory coat plus about 4-5 layers of flat on top of it. It's not going to get damaged in any way if you drive around with it like that. Stuff sticks to matte, just use lint-free cloths and scrup it with a sponge when you're washing it.........

Give C&C Body Shop a call. They're in Mountain View. (650) 964 3119. Tell them Brydon sent you, ask for Dave or Carlos. These guys do not f*$* around. They do an incredible job of matching metallic paint. You can come look at my silver wagon. They had to respray the whole RHS, and you can't tell where the old paint joins the new paint. They will be a little more expensive than MAACO, but they'll do as good or better job than the $600 place for less
