Pacquiao vs Marquez III

Opinions on the fight?

I thought it was a really close fight and Pacman really struggled through the whole fight. Glad he was able to push out a win in the end though.

As much as I hate to admit it, I think you might be right.

Unless he pulls his **** together, I think Mayweather may get the best of him.

Agreed. Marquez landed the stronger and more damaging shots. Pacquiao didn't fight as well as he normally does. Although I will say Marquez should have gone in more in the last 2 rounds, he was still clearly robbed.

That said, it's all about money, and people want to see Mayweather vs Pacquiao. Pacquiao gets a fraudulent win and now we wait to see how the fight with Mayweather goes.

It was the right call. I felt the 115-113 card to be accurate. Sure, it was JMM's best fight ever, and probably luke warm on Manny's fights, so not the best of Manny, but that has to do with the surprise output of JMM. I think it will pretty much enforce the Manny needs a solid camp for Floyd, and I think he will be fine. We hardly see Manny get flustered and off track like tonight. I think it will be an issue, he will learn to prep better.

I dont agree, he didnt "push" out a win... he was given a win. Sucks what boxing has become, this was obviously just a set up for mayweather vs pacman. And even though i hate mayweather, if marquez just obviously beat pacman, imagine what mayweather will do to him. Its not fair how hard these athletes train to get screwed in the end...

Wasnt Pacman's greatest fight, but Like Emmanuel Stewart said Marquez didnt really take the title from him either. I honestly thought the fight was a draw... Yea Marquez landed the better shots but the only thing that really hurt Pacquiao was a head-butt... I hope the Mayweather fight happens and that Pacman brings his A-game, because he'll need it if he wants to stand a chance against Floyd.

Those of you who are "phillippino from manila" and "filippo" claiming to be Filipino should at least know how to spell the nationality right.

The match last night was definitely JMM's fight to win. Pacquiao didn't seem like he was himself at all, but people are discrediting how good Marquez really is in the boxing ring. The only reason he looked slow and old against Mayweather was because he was setup to fail from the get go. Mayweather personally hand picked Marquez as a last minute fighter replacement, and in order to meet Floyd's regular fighting weight of 154lbs, Marquez had to gain 26lbs in less than 2 months at the age of 36. This time around, JMM had over 6 months to prep his body to fight at Pacquiao's regular weight class of 144lbs. The result was a better overall performance.

Personally, I think Pacquiao was holding back last night hoping to fool Mayweather into thinking he has lost his speed and power. There were many instances of Pacquiao going hard at Marquez in the middle rounds, only to back off everytime he got Marquez in a series of hits.

That fight did not look right at all for Manny. I was a bit surprised he pulled off with the W. I had Marquez as the winner of that fight, if not a draw, but the numbers definitely tell a different story. Pacquiao had a few more technical hits that weren't as clean as Marquez's connections.
