opinions on this used BC coilover

as some(or none) of you know, i am in the market for some BC coilovers.
So i am wondering if this was a good deal. basically he gave me $750 shipped, its used about 8k. came off a 08 WRX sedan, it seems like it is a good deal. what do you guys think?

BC BR coilovers in general are complete junk anyways, regardless of new or used. You're gonna need to spend a good penny more to get something that will give results worth getting.

I would consider buying used high end coilovers. How much more are new BCs?

For the price of new BCs I would look at just buying new. coilovers periodically need rebuilding and as such I wouldnt want to buy used ones. Springs I would buy since there is nothing to leak but struts and coils I would just buy new.

I've heard from plenty of people that those things aren't any good, but haven't ridden on them myself. Whether or not it is a good deal doesn't matter if it isn't a good product.

I bought my bc br coilovers used with about 7k miles on them for $700 and they currently have about 50-60k on them with no issues whatsoever, and I happen to like the ride quality - zero body roll with nice stiffness

they are all tawainese coilovers manufactured by bor chuann. so ISC, fortune, bc racing, megan they are all the same. I mean the function they serve is that they are good for looks. You have the ability to go pretty low and can adjust height. If you want a better damper for performance then look into billsteins and RCE springs. or if you want coils look into Ohlin, JRZ, KW and ASTs.

^ thank you! I have a set of BC's paid 900 shipped BNIB... For the price I think they're a really good coilover, I like the feel of them, how quiet they are, and they do the job for me in my DD... I had Teins that new were 1700 and we're fairly noisy compared to these.

i've heard the BCs are the best for the price range, and i haven't heard many problems with them either. And their rebuilding deal is pretty good too, $100 a strut i believe after a year warranty?

and how often do you rebuild coilovers, 30k? 50k?

I drove a buddys car on track who has BCs, they really did well and from his experience with them and my short drive I couldn't say they are bad.

I'll echo
BC = crap
I wouldn't put new ones on the car, and certainly would not pay for used ones that are probably blown out

How much are Koni inserts going for nowadays? Inserts and decent springs would probably be close to the price range of new BCs and handle a lot better.
