Because there's too many god damn lawyers & lobbyists thats why. Without tort reform to make it so you can't bring a suit against anyone for anything & tie up the courts, and politicians beholden to special interest $$, "THEY" wont be imposing a New World Order in our lifetime or our childrens.

Start naming directly who THEY are or stfu with the tin foil hat stuff.

I still contend that the gun owners here boohoo'ing about this bill don't live in tha 'hood(where you *might* need a gun). I do live in one, and I know I don't need one, so man up and learn some non ballistic self defense methods.

P.S. - Just to lighten the mood some

Why do people find it so difficult to wrap their heads around the fact that the 2nd Amendment is not in place so that we citizens can shoot criminals. Nor is it there so we can shoot/hunt animals. It is there so we can shoot at LEO/soldiers/any other agents of a tyrannical government, should it become necessary. Quit talking about needing guns for self defense, crime, bad neighborhoods, etc. All of that is irrelevant. I could live in Utopia, CA with ZERO crime and still need to shoot at tyrannical gov't officials one day.

Again, the 2nd Amendment is to protect ourselves from TYRANNY, not CRIME.

How is this relevant? Accidents happen, just like stupid parents happen. If the brother had accidentally stabbed his sister to death with a knife, would we be demanding we ban all blades? What if he accidentally got a hold of his parent's keys and ran his sister over? Would we want to ban cars next? Are people so stupid that they believe an inanimate object is the root of all evil?

Seriously, if we banned all guns, would it suddenly rain gumdrops? Would unicorns magically re-inhabit the Earth? Would leprechauns draft a peace treaty to be signed by Israel and Palestine? Would China free Tibet?

Guns are tools, no different than any other tools. When someone misuses the tool, do you blame it or the one who wields it?

I'm really glad that I decided to create this thread! I'm very proud to know that we have so many pro-freedom members here. I can't believe that some people would vote to veto our constitutional freedoms. This thread gives me hope, knowing that the majority of us are against this, and we're just a small forum with a very diverse clientele, so imagine the rest of the country. Most people understand how important our freedom is, once it's gone it's never going to come back... Well, without major blood shed at least.

Our 2nd amendment gives us peace through superior firepower.

So being from 'the hood' you don't feel that people should have basic rights?
