Clearly, he is obtuse, as most Americans are. Otherwise, how could people like Pelosi and Obama get elected, along with a bunch of other yahoos?

There's a country out there where the government does EVERYTHING for its people (including murdering them). It's called China. I'll buy you a ticket, if you will proceed to immigrate there henceforth.

This is America. Free men live here, and free men will not sit idly by as their freedom is stripped on a continual basis.

And do not worry. As more and more events like Ruby Ridge occur, you will see the bloodshed. As the government begins to more openly persecute its people, there will be more action.

Or do you also think that all the town-hall debacles are staged and funded by extremist groups?

The other part I love about being a patriot, is my beloved First Amendment Rights, which allow us all to have discussions like this freely and openly. Unlike in say....China.

So you can hate on my obstuse, childish, naïve position all you want, BUT at the end of the day we should all be grateful that we have the multitude of rights that we do.

PS - PM's are awesome if anyone wants to hate on me directly and/or find a time and place to say it to my face. Bring your guns for all I care.

Look, no one is saying you can't voice your opinion - by all means, continue. Some of us just feel you are wrong, much in the same way you may feel we are wrong. That is fine, people can and often do disagree.

What I find interesting about your response though, is that you talk about the "beloved First Amendment" and how "we should all be grateful that we have the multitude of rights that we do" and yet, for some reason, seem to think that the 2nd Amendment is unnecessary. Care to elaborate? Again, we're just engaging in discussion in an open forum, not verbal warfare.

Remember, the 2nd Ammendment is about firearms...not ammunition.
It's gonna be interesting to see what happens when this bill is passed.

I predict that the average gun nut will do nothing and the Socialists will win yet another battle in the war of freedom.

True, but a gun without ammo is just a hunk of metal and wood (and I guess plast...I mean polymer). I think you can make a genuine argument that a ban on ammo infringes our 2nd Amendment rights. First they ban online ammo sales, then maybe reloading components, and pretty soon, we'll have nothing to shoot out of our firearms.

As to your prediction, I bet you're right.

The 1st Amendment can only exist, because it is protected by the 2nd Amendment. If you remove the right for people to protect themselves against their government, then you will also lose the right to voice your opinion. A great current example of this is the situation in Iran. If those people were armed, there would be actual change in that country, instead of these mere protests that won't result in any actual change.

You call us "kool-aid'ers" and "tin foil hat" people, and you wonder why we argue against you; and now you're ethug-ing too?
Are you for real?

I get the spirit of people wanting to keep their rights, but now that we have an armed govt militia, we don't need citizens as Minutemen.

2nd Amendment was relevant/necessary during Revolutionary Times. Nowadays not so much; you know...like how slavery went away?

BTW when I say I'm a Patriot, I literally mean my ancestors were among the Patriot group of the American Revolution (as opposed to the Brit loyal Tories).

The rhetoric of saying we're now in a Socialist land is killin me as an American. We still have the right to challenge legislation legally, so use it or lose it! If there's a loophole based on the language of the 2nd Amendment that basically only extend protections to firearms, and not ammo...then its up to The Supreme Court to extend an interpretation of the 2nd Amendment to be inclusive of ammo. So arm yourselves with clipboards, bandaleros full of pens, and get to work on those petitions!

This country has become increasingly socialist, since its inception. The 16th Amendment was the first step in that direction, a step that I would strongly argue that the Founding Fathers would be very much opposed to.

FDR and his Keynesian policies with the New Deal further established the movement along socialist lines.

Now, we have nationalized: automotive production; insurance; and a discussion and distinct possibility for healthcare.

Freedom includes the freedom to suffer and die. So what part of this situation is not socialist to you?

Who'll protect you from the gov't?
Please see Ruby Ridge, Waco, etc.

"Went away"???
That's a rather simplified concept of how slavery ended in America.

We can't even count on our federal government to enforce our laws and protect our borders, and you say that there is no need for citizen Minutemen? And just because you trace an ancestral line to people that were around for the Revolution, does not give you more foundation to declare that somehow your reasoning is more correct, and that others' is incorrect.

Oh I didn't say you couldn't voice your opinion, I just said your a ignorant, anti-american, libtard for the views you have...that perhaps you would be better served by going to say...france, I hear they like your type there.
