a high carb/sugar diet is what leads most to diabetes and fat retention. It isn't event all the fat we eat. fat makes you feel good, and full. Of course, you can't be eating crazy amounts of it, but having a decent amount of saturated fat, esp animal fat, is completely ok, and normal.

Think evolution, and what we have been eating for 10-20 thousand years vs the last 2 thousand years, let alone the last 100 years.

Early Humans ate natural fruits, vegetables. Hardly many carbs cause they didn't bake bread, and they ate meat. They had good bones, decent teeth (think of the skulls we find of these guys, perfect teeth a lot of the time.)

So, yes, don't eat so much, well, everything! But don't cut out everything either. It's all about balance, and moderation.

The food piramyd calls for a 2,000 calorie diet, of which 300grams of carbs should be consumed. I've cut out sugar and most fruit juice, and cut down my carb count to about 100-130 carbs a day or less. I'm losing fat naturally, not even working out all that much, and feel great.

More accurately, an out of balance diet leads to weight gain, which can lead to Type II diabetes.

Right, sorry. Type II, since Type I is genetic.

Type II actually has more of a genetic property to it, Type I is an auto-immune disease with some genetic qualities. The problem is that they don't quite know what causes Type I, so even though they used to think it was genetic, now they are moving away from that theory a little bit.

Most Subway subs have pretty good nutritional ratings actually, a fraction of the garbage in quiznos crap.
A 900 calorie Subway sandwich may have less total calories than a comparable Quizno's menu item, but does it have more calories from fat, carbohydrates or protein?

Thats some crappy tuna, who wants to eat tuna every day for 3 weeks? Not me!

My tuna has black olives, onions, pepper, mustard, egg whites, and a TINY bit of mayo, and that my friend is how tuna should taste, not that weird pasty crap

well, with all of that, you will still pay about 80 for 3 weeks

I wouldnt eat it every day, but Im just saying that it is cheaper and healthier than the alternative of "fast food"
