Who had Alphavile on LP...who is your DADDY?

Do y'all remember how cool Live 105 (105.3FM) was in the bay area back in the 80s and until the early 90s? You know, steve masters, the man that discovered half of the cool modern rock bands?

That guy is a legend.... makes me miss working late nights, listening to "The Spice Must Flow!" Mr. Cook? Come down to the station with us. Your son is dead.

Heck, this is what led up to the Rave culture, techno, etc!

You don't know **** about modern beats and techno music came about unless you know this:

Take that:

I was at Lost Weekend in Alameda on Friday. was 80's night. Freakin awesome. There was a dude there straight up flock of seagals status. Had the hair, red coat white tie, black shirt. Awesome. Chicks dressed total 80's including one dressed up like madona ala like a virgin wedding dress. was sweet.

Lets not forget about the smith's people.

in the 80's I really didn't have my own definitive music. Was what my mom listened to. Stuff like Tina Turner and CCR. I was a huge fan of MJ and the fat boys.

Just copy bushido's list for me. I vote Rich for dopest music taste in BAIC (not to take anything away from all you other guys; great lists.)

Krinkov's list scares me, but I should've expected that I s'pose.

ps - Tack on Skinny Puppy - Far Too Frail

if you listen to the radio online you guys might like this

http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/index.shtml?logo

They play all kinds of stuff from the last 5 decades plus the beeb has lots of sessions and concerts from an amazing selection or artists. Most of the shows from the last week are available recorded so if you don't like what's playing now you can find a show you like.

Plus if you have tastes beyond popular music there is the rest of BBC radio land to explore. Click on the "Radio" button at the top of the page.

Radio 1 poular music now - all the kids listen to this - that is your teenage kids
Radio 2 popular music you mum listens to
Radio 3 Clasical, Jazz, World, Weird
Radio 4 Talk of all kinds - particularly like Home Truths only John Peel died so that put the damper on it for me recently. People tell their strange and interesting storeis about themselves or their lives. Some of it is facinating.
Radio 5 sport - F1 comentary fex plus soccer and cricket of course
Radio 6 popular music for enthusiasts
Radio 7 comedy - its very british so you will probably find it very strange
