P.S.- I ran a 14.3 last time I went to Sac on a completely stock WRX. I would hope a decently modded one would run faster than 13.8.

I have a 4sp manual you can use if you like, it should work great for the drag strip as you have less shifting. You may need to get a 50 shot for the shift from 1st to 3rd tho.

FWIW neither will stop a car from pinging on the stock ECU, by its vary nature it will ping at some point in time. It should however correct itself if conditions/reasons are not to severe.
