Ok, since gruppe S installation services are down for a while...

Who do you recommend as your installation shop of choice (preferrably on the east bay) for a good balance of speed, price and courtesty?

Im looking to get springs and/or catback exhaust done this week if possible.

yup, if you have the tools all you need is to rent a spring compressor from autozone.

You're right except youre making multiple assumptions that im a long time established bay area native, so lemme correct you on that:

Its not hard with the right tools, ppl to help, garage space to work with, and time. I just ran a mental inventory and:

1. im new to the area so i dont HAVE or KNOW ppl available to help (unless youre volunteering your services for free)
2. i dont have the tools (after buying all the tools necessary to do the job right and efficiently...omg, i will have spent more than the actual cost of paying someone to do same thing
3. garage space to work with, i live in apt complex that does not allow ppl to do real work on their car and i dont have parents house (not from here) or friends who can hook me up w their garage space
4. time - you dont know my job and my schedule, but trust me, i do NOT have the free time (esp to coordinate w other folks schedules)

yes i've already ran thru the major factors and you know what? i used to do DIY all the time with my friends back in indiana and philly when i lived there cause i was poor and needed to save the money. now that is not really an issue and trying to save that much is not an important now vs convience and time saved.

oh and gee, what a huge CRIME it is to support the local subaru installer businesses in the area, i'm so ashamed of myself.

forgive me please

Ed

Is Gruppe-S moving their facility the reason they're down?
