The official unveiling of the 2015 WRX

Yeah, I think that is so tacky looking. I am glad I am not the only one that is bothered by it. The first time I saw that, on a BMW 3-series I think, all I could think of was how it just looks cheap and like a way for the car maker to have to re-tool even less. We all know this is how it works, but it sucks to see a line across the car that reminds of this every time we see it, when previous models would have had metal up to the grille, and two small lines on the side areas.

Car Info: 2011 WRX hatch gray
That’s despite the fact that in the US, (the world’s largest WRX market) sales of the model are split almost 50/50 between sedan and hatch versions.

We all know it doesnt really cost any more to make a car that looks good versus a car that looks bland, you still have to stamp out the same sheet metal and bumper molds one way or the other, and we all know your car designers came up with dozens of different designs they present and a committee decided which one they though will sell the most. Just admit it Subaru, you chose the safe, bland design because you're too scared to do anything bold nowadays.
And I can understand Subaru, you use to be the underdogs but in the last year or two you've grabbed up a lot more market share and now you start to see yourself as legitimate competitor to the big boys, but this is the time you should be MORE aggressive, and not trying to appeal to the toyota masses(how well has that worked out for you in the past??)
Just dont try to pin everyones lukewarm reception on being the designers fault because it would have been too expensive to get them to design a better car. They designed the the concept car we all loved for f***s sake! -_-
