You should think about raising the bar. Seattle had a lot of momentum at the end of the game and it took and it took 2 amazing returns by Ginn to make sure they didn't lose in classic 9er fashion.

I'm glad they won, but it was a sloppy game that was slipping away towards the end.

What are you talking about? He went 15 for 20 with no fumbles or interceptions. Im pretty sure Harbaugh is doing this to build his confidence. Ive been an Alex Smith supporter for a long time and catching flak for it but today he played great. It came down to the coach making the decision to run the ball entirely too much when Seachickens had momentum but Im glad Ginn gave us the win.

That 15 of 20 was only good for 124 yards.

He didn't play great, he played too conservative and safe with a bunch of low risk passes. Gore and Ginn played great, not Alex, he played like a back up.

he played like a backup quarterback if you compare him to aaron rodgers but he played great compared to what hes been doing the last few seasons. I saw 2 high risk passes in there but ultimately I think it comes down to what the coach wants him to do to build his confidence and the short passes helped us get the first downs and keep the ball moving so I aint even mad.

if he can stay consistent like this all season, we might have a chance for a winning season.

You can't win consistently with <150 yard passing. It may have worked against Seattle who looked very bad, but that won't fly against Dallas next week. Alex needs to stop being babied like a rookie. He needs to step it up. He's been given far too many chances to being playing that kind of prevent offense.
