Didn't hear any noise making with the Raidas...
Johnny Manziel looks like he's gonna start for the Browns. Is he as good as Hoyer? Probably not, but he has that 'it' factor. Entertainment + his legs = gives any newbie a chance to succeed. He needs to learn to not get hit though, he's too small to go headfirst all the time. Had a couple good tosses and elusive.

Carr is going to get the most time on the field so they can get a good look at him. McGloin and Schaub... they pretty much know what they have there.
McGloin actually looked the best. Carr looked like he didn't know wtf he was doing out there. Sac. Int. rating under 50. Etc. But that's too be expected. I just don't see the dude being the future of Oakland football and with a pick that high that's what people are going to want to see.
There were a lot of really good right now type of players they could have gotten with that pick.
Hyde. They have 2 old RB's that may or may not do anything at all. Hyde... dude could be the starter for them for the next 7 years.
Lee. Dude starts right now and helps Schaub and McGloin be successful... now.
Davante Adams or Cody Latimer... could be game changers.
Joyner could have helped the secondary right now.
Carr... I just don't see him being all that much better than what they could have gotten in the 3-5 rounds.
Savage. Mettengerger. Boyd. Etc.
For some reason I just don't take the dude seriously. I'm not sure why. Could be 100% wrong and I hope for the sake of Oakland football he makes me a believer.
I just don't like the decision.
They spent the money and what not bring over a veteran with a great history minus one season. Why not help him succeed? McGloin can play so with those two you're o.k. with 1/2 and there were a lot of options out there for a 3.
I would have rather seen them stick to their guns and fail than waffle and fail.
Next year's draft has some serious ballers they could have went with at QB.
Mariota
Winston
Hundley
Petty.
And there are 3 or 4 others that might sneak in to top 50 picks depending on their seasons.
But for me... as long as Mack isn't a bust I'll be happy. LOL!

Another year, another QB controversy. Carr will start this year... Just when?
He threw at Sherman twice. Three drives against Seattle's first teamers and three TDs. Though the 3rd was tipped and great one hand catch by Rivera.
First was a run by Latavius, but still, Carr drove them down there.

More concerned if the offensive line and the entire defense can hold up their end of the bargain. Then I'll start worrying how talented the qb is this year.

^There are so many gaps with the Raiders right now. We'll all see when game 1 comes around.
I still think if they go with Shaub (busted elbow and not getting reps with the game plan) eventually Carr comes in midseason.
The Coach always drafts a QB that will either make or break the coach. I'd say this is Allen's last season, he has to roll with Carr eventually.

I wanted to give Schaub a chance, but, basically with a 2nd team line against stout Seattle starters, Carr was very good.
The best was his 2nd TD pass to Moore. That back shoulder pass, just, wow.
He's just really not afraid to stand in the pocket, and I think keep defenses honest.
He seems to have great chemistry with Moore and Rivera. If that turns out with Streater and Jones... Well, its a no brainer to start him.
Our starting CBs, both former niners, are iffy. Some great plays and some bad ones. But these young bucks look really good.

I didn't think Carr had the playbook down like this, and I didn't think he could read a defense like this, so soon. On the first TD pass to Moore he made his reads, side stepped a defender, and at that moment read the break Moore was attempting, and bombed perfectly.
Like... That's some veteran ****. In his first start.
Really, really hope he's this good every game. We'd have real chances of winning if so.
Been way too long man.
