If you do the drive up and then down Mines, allow yourself basically all day. It'll take you close to 4-5 hours to do that all and get back to your house. I once took that route home to Tracy from work here in San Jose. It took me 2.5 hours. Was a fun as hell drive though!

There is no picnic grounds. It's like going to a county carnival that's the type of area were looking at. But I just don't think there's many options that aren't like this when it comes to supporting 300-400 lot spots too. Also relaxed atmosphere is a good point to it all but what does that mean to everyone who is coming, I think that's something else we should figure out and plan for next year also.

I did hear that it was a very long drive. I'm not concerned about that. Couple weeks ago I had a car full and decided to drive down el camino from SJ to San Mateo.. Haha.

Yea. I'm sure we could rent the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton as well, some part of it perhaps, but I don't know what the cost would be. Is that airfield used often?

Not really. Planning would have to start by January with phone calls I'd assume though. Maybe before.

Planning begins at the end of January this year... change is afoot. I'll actually be working on this on and off pretty much all year. LOL.

I'll probably be having a conversation with the guy that does Huck's shirts. I wasn't 100% stoked on the quality of print and I don't settle for less than perfect.

I"ll be putting together a nice document with vendors, contacts, etc so we'll have that. Etc. Much more organization involved. We'll work numbers. Figure out cost. Get everything rolling starting Jan/Feb.
