The outcome of this game is the reverse it was in Philly. Errors by the Phillies gave the Giants 2 runs. This time one error by the Giants gave the Phillies one run but it was still a 2-1 game.

victorino tackled the hitting coach from the giants haha, ramirez was not in the scrum

At one point, Giants left-hander Jeremy Affeldt, apparently trying to play peacemaker, grabbed Victorino and tried to disentangle him from the knot of players. Soon, however, Victorino broke free, scooted behind the scrum's outer edge and plunged into Giants hitting coach Hensley Meulens.

It appeared Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval had Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz in a choke hold. Victorino said he noticed Ruiz in trouble and dove back in, taking down Giants hitting coach Hensley Meulens in the process.

"I needed to go in and help him get away from everything," Victorino said.
So yea, still was trying to help his teammate and you could clearly see from the video he slipped as he was trying to get away from the coach so he was already in a tackling position and hit the first person in front of him.

You can try to defend it any way you want, bottom line is Ramirez was a ***** and couldn't take getting hit around so he hit Victorino.

And also if you rewatch that video, Jeremy Affeldt was no where near Victorino during that scrum. So where ever you got that quote from is full of ****. It was a Giants coach and Phillies coach that were trying to get Victorino away from the crowd when he broke free and tackled the Giants hitting coach.

I'm betting he didn't know it was the hitting coach. It's not like he specifically aimed at hitting him, that was where the hole was and like I said, it looked like he was slipping trying to get away so he was in a bend over position. He tackled whoever was in front of him. I guess Carlos Ruiz was in that general area and he was trying to get in there cause Ruiz was by himself there with the majority of the phillies players trying to separate Whiteside and Polanco.

Nice to hear that the Giants won today. Wasn't able to watch the game but I hear Beltran is injured and Chase Utley pulled a Cody Ross and let his bat fly towards Lincecum and hit him in the knee. Anybody got a video of that?
