red rock ale - i really liked it, but i don't live in san diego anymore.

jeremiah red ale - always seem to end up drinking it when i'm at bj's brewery

prohibition ale - it'll do, but can't always find it outside of sf

duvel - like champagne with fine bubbles - kinda spendy though

 

Ukiah Brewing Company. Their IPA is awesome. In fact, all of their beers were quite good. Point Arena Pale Ale was good all arounder, Pilsner Ukiah was light but tasty, and the Coops Stout was like drinking a glass of oak (in a good way). I will be back up there in a week or so to try a few more

Care to share the recipe? Seeing as I grabbed a pound of Lactose instead of Corn Sugar at the store I have a milk stout or two in my future

"my" alehouse in Livermore (first street alehouse) is getting their Pliny the Younger on Sunday. I'll be there for lunch.

Then again for Dinner.

 

Sunday has plans that trump anything imaginable. Looks like I wont be trying PtY this year.

 

Spent a little time @ Snowshoe brewing in Arnold this last weekend. Worth the stop if you're in the area.

 

There is one place in San Jose that has Elder on tap most of the time, but if I told you, I'd have to kill you.

But seriously.. You can find Pliny the Elder in the bottle regularly in SF at City Beer Store and irregularly at Whole Foods in Campbell and a few others. Also, there is a place in SJ called "Wine Affairs" or something like that which supposedly has it on tap.

It's a very hoppy IPA but completely not worth the hype, or the BS.

Never tried Pliny the Younger, and 100% sure I never will.

Matt - glad you liked it - I know you have had it before, but more never hurts. Your Sunday sounds crazy. Scarlett Johansson coming over or something?
